This is also a prototype PainFree Website™. Advent Media is now pleased to offer dynamic Web sites using the DotNetNuke® (DNN) portal application. DNN is an open source application that runs on Microsoft® Windows Server using ASP.Net 2.0 technologies.
If that's all "geek" to you, it simply means the technology is getting smarter so your experience with it as a Website owner or user is more painless!
A dynamic site doesn't necessarialy refer to its "wow" factor. Rather it refers to the way the server sends content to the user's browser. A "normal" web site uses what are called "static" pages. All the content is hard-coded into the web page and the only way to change it is to use an HTML editor of some kind and then use FTP to transfer the edited page to the server.
A dymanic site's pages may have some static HTML, but most of the content is pulled from a database, and the page is "dynamically" sent to the browser depending upon the conditions the user requests, ranging from login name to date or time of day.
Site administrators have the ability to edit any text that's in the database right in the browser! As the administrator, you can change the text at any time, add pages, delete pages, update the calendar, add Flash content (like the banner above), or add pictures like this logo with just one click!

The unique part of this is that the administrator of the site can grant users permission to view or even edit certain content on select pages. The administrator can also hide portions of the site from users without elevated credentials. This makes it very easy to control sensitive content.
As an open source application there is a large community of developers and users creating modules that we can adapt to your needs. Some applications are free, others have a licensing fee. Advent Media's DNN Websites can affordably give you the flexibility you need!
